Graduated from Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i University in 1971 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Received his M.Sc. (1972) and Ph.D. (1976) in Chemical Engineering from The University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom. Began his academic career in 1977 as a research assistant at Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Chemistry, and was promoted to Associate Professor in 1981 and to Full Professor in 1988.<\/p>\n

Held various academic and administrative positions at Istanbul Technical University, including Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Founding Head of the Department of Food Engineering, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering, and Vice Rector. Also served at T\u00dcB\u0130TAK Marmara Research Center as Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, Chairman of the Board, and Member of the T\u00dcB\u0130TAK Science Board.<\/p>\n

Memberships include the Institute of Energy (UK), the Turkish National Committee on Solid Waste, and the Turkish National Committee on Air Pollution. Completed numerous applied projects in the fields of coal, petroleum, petcoke, oil shale, combustion, and air pollution control technologies, developing technological solutions for the energy and cement industries.<\/p>\n

Prof. Dr. Ekrem Ekinci served as Rector of I\u015f\u0131k University between 2008 and 2010. Since 2011, he has been serving as the founding partner and Chairman of the Board of Directors of of T Dinamik Enerji Industry and Trade Inc. and Tegnatia Enerji Production Industry and Trade Inc.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa TIRIS has received a BSc in Petroleum Engineering in 1987 from Istanbul Technical University, MSc and PhD in Ege University \u2013 Solar Energy Institute, in 1990 and 1992. He joined to the University of Leeds, Department of Fuel & Energy during his post-doctoral studies. He started working in Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Council (TUBITAK) \u2013 Marmara Research Center (MRC), Department of Chemical Engineering, as researcher in 1990. He has worked in Department of Energy Systems of MRC as senior scientist (1994-1996), as assistant director in Energy Systems and Environmental Research Institute (1996-2000), as Institute Director in Energy Systems and Environmental Research Institute (2000-2004). He has been the Institute Director of Energy Institute and acting director of Chemistry and Environmental Institute since 2004. He is also member of the Turkish Automotive Technology Platform, Member of the Turkish Energy Efficiency Coordination Committee, Member of the Committee on Research and Technology (CERT) of the International Energy Agency (IEA), Member of the NATO-CCMS Committee and Alternate Member of the NATO-SPS.<\/p>\n

During 21 years of service at TUBITAK, he coordinated national and international projects in the fields of energy and environment and directed about 230 highest level of researchers in Turkey<\/p>\n

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa T\u0131r\u0131s has been serving as the founding partner and General Manager of T Dinamik Energy Production Industry and Trade Inc. since 2011 and of Tegnatia Energy Production Industry and Trade Inc. since 2013.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
